Plein-air paintsketching

I enjoy drawing and painting from nature, and even more in nature. Norway is a country well endowed with relatively untouched wilderness, water and wildlife. One could spend half a lifetime painting motifs less than one hour walk away from home. Recently I have discovered guache as a great medium for painting, and I will try to share some more paintings like this in future. This painting sketch took about two hours to do. Wanted to catch the light leafy branches against a darker background. Room for improvement, mainly to do with the initial tonal work I guess. Still, I'm fairly happy with it. (There were little trout jumping after insects in that shallow pond...)
