Old steel mill

In our home town there is an old steel mill that was up and running until a few years ago. It is now bancrupt and abandoned. I walk past it often and always thought it could make a good painting. So I gave it a go. I liked the rusty colors and the dirty blues and greys with some brighter blue and reds. I think I got the sense of space ok, and also how it looked abandoned.
Other people must find something to appreciate because there is a very lively debate locally about how much of it to preserve as cultural heritage. This painting was part of a recent exhibition and sold.
