A small waterfall, some where in Norway..

This is an acrylic painting based on a picture I took while hiking somewhere in the Norwegian hills. It was only meant to be a study and a chance for me to play with acrylics and apply the paint thickly. As it turned out quite nice I decided to share it here. Of course paintings from life (plein air) are a lot more interesting and I would not mind going back there to paint. Will post some more paintings and sketches drawn from nature, shortly. In the meantime you can try to imagine the soothing sound of the rushing water.......
